This century has seen a further consolidation of distribution in the small parts business. What that means for you is that old-line bicycle stores such as ours have deepened relationships for better service, in our case with Olympic Supply Company and Seattle Bike Supply. We rely on the excellent service from our suppliers and we get in return delivery every single business day in as little as 16 hours.Regarding Olympic Supply Company, they are called "Olympic" because they are older than the International Olympic Committee! Even more impressively, we speak directly with the owners, Doreen and Paul Goniu. Paul is the grandson of the founder. We fully expect to continue this relationship when their children, Katie and Brian, eventually take the helm to the fifth generation.
At Seattle Bicycle Supply, while nearly every other company in the twenty-inch business has been bankrupt and shuffled from owner to owner, (Mongoose, Dyno, GT, etc) Seattle Bike/Redline remains fiercely independant. While we rely more on Olympic Supply than any other vendor, Seattle Bike gives us service in areas Olympic cannot and nicely compliments Olympic's product line.
So where is this going?
Rather that type thousands of lines of screws and nuts, clips and clamps, adjusters and locknuts, we now link directly into our suppliers' web pages. Both Olympic and Seattle now offer you access directly into the huge databases that bicycle dealers use.
We stock the majority of those items here. If we should happen to be out of a size of handlebar stem, or out of a tape color or sold out of a particular hub axle set, you can find that item and we'll have it for you promptly, usually overnight. Simply email us the product number
